We are looking for two motivated Software Developer Trainees to join our team for summer 2026.
Our office is located in Kupittaa, Turku, with flexible working hours and the possibility to work also remotely.

Salary: €2,250/month during the trainee period.

Almost all summer employees stay with us part-time during studies or full-time if graduation is near. We also offer opportunities for thesis collaboration. If you’re interested and thesis is topical for you already in the summer, mention it and share your initial topic ideas in your application. We want to support you in finishing your studies while gaining practical software development experience.
What do we expect from you?
- You should be nearing the end of your higher education studies in software development or a related field.
- Previous work experience in software development is not required, but any work experience — especially in industry — and active hobby projects are a plus.
- Solid basic knowledge of software development and programming experience in at least one language (study or hobby projects).
- Best fit if you know C#, Java, or Python, as these are our most used languages. Skills in databases and modern web technologies (React, Angular) are also valuable. It wouldn’t harm if you are also familiar with integrations and cloud platforms.
- Interest in learning new technologies, ability to solve problems independently, and a positive can-do attitude.
- Experience with cybersecurity and AI tools in software development is a plus. We especially value experience in developing AI solutions, AI agents, and cybersecurity-related automation.
- Ability to work independently, enjoy customer interaction, and ask for help when needed.
- International experience and familiarity with industrial systems are advantages.
- Willingness and ability to share your expertise to support our sales.
- Languages: Fluent English and Finnish are required. Other languages, especially French, German or Spanish, are a plus.
Experiences from the Summer of 2025
In summer 2025, two new ATR Softers joined us, contributing to various customer projects and internal applications. Their work included back-end development for our AI tool, implementing a security update for our internal application, and creating ATR’s own design system.
