The history of the MEYER TURKU shipyard stretches back almost 300 years. In recent decades, digitalisation in shipbuilding has accelerated and, to meet the needs and opportunities it brings, MEYER TURKU has needed a partner to develop new solutions to improve operational efficiency and maintain existing systems.
MEYER TURKU OY, owned by the Meyer family, is one of Europe’s leading shipbuilding corporations. MEYER TURKU OY is specialised in building very complex, innovative and environmentally friendly cruise ships, passenger-car ferries and special vessels. Among the shipyards key objectives are ensuring high-tech expertise and constant development.
Through a bidding competition in 2016, ATR Soft was selected to create MEYER TURKU’s digital weekend work permit system. Since the project, the collaboration has expanded to include maintenance and support services for existing business applications and databases, filling various additional and temporary IT roles, data migration, new business application development and integration implementation.
As in many large companies, MEYER TURKU uses many different technologies.
