This is Jenny Han again. I am the Regional Sales Manager for ATR Soft Oy’s Shanghai office. It has been a while since my last blog. Many things have happened in Shanghai office as it was an incredible busy autumn. So now it time again to list them up.
We have got our first ever CUSTOMTOOLS Premium Solution partner in China. It is ICT (Intelligent CAD/CAM Technology Ltd.) which has a headquarter office in Hong Kong. ICT is one of the biggest SOLIDWORKS reseller in China. As by ICT’s invitation, I have attended ICT’s Innovation day event in October. CUSTOMTOOLS and XBOM were the main products that we promoted in the event. I have presented our solutions to over 40 Chinese engineers and managers.
On Thursday November 3rd, I and other Dassault Systèmes overseas solution partners and over 800 Chinese users joined the AGE-OF-EXPERIENCE Congress in Shanghai. Dassault Systèmes’ vice president Mr. CK Goh (APAC Sales, 3DS Professional Channel at Dassault Systèmes) informed me that DELMIA, Quintiq and Exalead will be the latest systems to be promoted to all Chinese companies by their teams. For me this is also a good place to learn how to make a good user case study.
Now something big is coming… 🙂
SLUSH Shanghai event was held for the first time this year in Shanghai on Monday October 31st. I was pleased to attend that awesome event with other Finland team members, for instance, Finpro, Finchi and Tekes’ staffs. This was a very good place to network with startups companies and I have got a lot of new ideas. The coolest thing was that I have had a fruitful discussion with Peter Vesterbacka which was one of the founder of Rovio, a legend in the Finnish game industry.
Last but not least, it was my first time to travel to Hangzhou and Nanjing city to participate 2016 Zhejiang-Finland Technology Matchmaking Meeting and the 5th China Jiangsu Conference for International Technology Transfer and Commercialization (CITTC) on Tuesday November 8th and Wednesday November 9th. These two conferences were organized by Tekes Finland and Chinese Zhejiang and Jiangsu government.
In those two conferences, I have made networking with several great Finnish companies, for example, Halton, Kolmeks and Kemira, etc. Hopefully they would be our potential customers in China in the future. On the other hand, many Chinese companies have been interested in ATR Soft’ solutions. In the one-to-one matchmaking meetings, I have had great discussion with these Chinese companies. It is good to hear that Finland had become the 3rd largest target country of Chinese FDI according to the information from Tekes. Many Chinese companies have started to pay attention to Finnish companies, especially is to ICT, AV/VR, intelligent hardware, clean technology and health care.
